What’re your first and second most common work ratings?
Teen And Up Audiences (14)
Mature (11)
To be honest, I have very little idea of what these ratings even mean. I try hard to err on the side of caution so this is possibly highballed to hell, but maybe not? I'm pretty sure I have both culturally and personally different sensibilities than what's meant to determine these ratings. I'd rate for violence, mindfuckery and graphic sex, but apparently use of swearwords is also meant to be a rating changer? Also, I never even looked at ratings back when I was a teenager, and I don't now.
What’s your most common archive warning?
No Archive Warnings Apply (22)
The actual warning I used most is Graphic Depictions Of Violence (9).
Least common?
Rape/Non-Con (1)
Though it should actually be Underage (0).
Do you consider yourself an adventurous writer?
Not really? I generally write canon divergence, which is anchored within the realm of the possible of a given canon, and I mostly feel like I'm just extrapolating. Though on the other hand of course my fics all make perfect sense to me and flow naturally from what I think of canon, I wrote them after all. The body horror is all there already in Savage's canon arc.
I have a couple of stylistic devices that work well for me and tend to reuse them whenever, though. Present tense close 3rd limited with some stream of consciousness, flashbacks in parentheses, slight nonlinearity... occasionally I feel like switching it up, but mostly, they work perfectly for evoking the feeling I enjoy when reading. Still, probably more adventurous with stylistic constraints than subject, I'd say.
How many stories have you made in each pairing category?
Gen (32)
M/M (3)
Multi (1)
Is this more accidental, or do you have preferences?
I definitely prefer platonic and familial relationships. I'm aroace, it's just more relateable. The other thing that influences which pairings I write is what the canon's like, though--I wouldn't care unless I'm interested in all characters involved in the relationship separately and their dynamic or the potential for it that's there in canon--and so as I get much more careful and pick media to read and watch with many focal women characters with the kind of sharp edges that I like and imprint on, I get much more interested in het and femslash too.
What are your top 4 fandoms by numbers?
Star Wars - All Media Types (19)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types (15)
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) (10)
Star Wars Sequel Trilogy (10)
The one thing left over is Supernatural (2).
Are you still active in any of them, and do you tend to migrate a lot?
I'm not totally inactive in any of them, let's say, but my focus shifted from one to the next to the next. Especially in terms of reading, I tend to read a lot of fic about my favourite character of the month and then taper off while becoming obsessed with someone else--much more quickly than with my writing, because I'm trying very hard to resist switching focus while I've still got unfinished WIPs. It may look like I don't because that's still what happens, but it could be so much worse.
What are your top 4 relationship tags?
Darth Maul & Savage Opress (15)
Finn & Anakin Skywalker (9)
Feral & Savage Opress (3)
Castiel/Dean Winchester (2)
Does this match how you feel about the characters, or are you puzzled?
Those are Savage's most meaningful relationships in canon, and for Maul as well, I think. Also the relationship I'm most interested in with both Dean and Castiel. Finn & Anakin is an odd duck considering they don't meet in canon, but I do think there's a fascinating set of echoes between them.
What are your top 2 most used additional tags, and your bottom 2?
Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence (12)
Force-Sensitive Finn (9) I don't really think this should even be a tag because Finn's canonically force-sensitive in TFA and that is a hill I will die on, but I appreciate having a way to find fics that deal with Finn's force-sensitivity and that's why I used it
..
Road Trips (3)
Mind Control Aftermath & Recovery (3)
What would happen if you combined all 4 of these into an fic?
I'm actually writing a fic about three of these tags (Finn meets old Maul post-TLJ and they travel the devastated galaxy, and travelling around space is generally what I mean by tagging Road Trip. I just think it's great for always getting to write a setting that fits with the mood of a section or chapter, akin to Monster of the Week for antagonists.) As to how I'd incorporate Mind Control... I mean, it would be easy given the right antagonist, but I don't really think it would fit the piece. Both Finn and Maul are dealing with the aftermath of indoctrination as child soldiers, and Mind Control the magical allegory is too close so it would feel like a doubling-up and making the problem less interesting, which is something I try to avoid in writing.
How many WIPs do you have currently running on AO3? Any you don’t plan on finishing?
7, three of which are standalone collections. Plus 4 unfinished series. I plan on finishing everything. Eventually. Before I die. I am very slow. (Most of them are actually done plotted, so for in terms of mind cinema, I've actually finished them haha. Just not where anyone else can see.)
